About Us
Here at Crossroads Community Center, our goal is to not only demonstrate the Gospel in word and deed to the people of the Fairhill community but to also ensure they know of their supportive resources such as our food pantry. We receive donations monthly from organizations such as Philabundance, that support our center as we support our community.
Our Initiatives
Food Distribution
Providing Essential Nutrition
Crossroads is a distribution point for Philabundance, the supplemental food program in Philadelphia. With their support, we are able to not only keep our food pantry stocked, but to also give away a minimum of 100 food boxes monthly. Our families in the community look forward to this monthly distribution.
Community Engagement
Connecting with the Community
Through our engagement programs, we connect with the community, especially the youth to ensure they know of the support programs located here at crossroads. They can come for support, or just to be fed. Our doors are always open for the people as we foster a sense of unity and compassion within our society, led by faith.
Nutrition Education
Promoting Healthy Eating Habits
When in the care of our center such as during our summer programs or year round group meetings, our youth has access to nutritional meals as they spend time with one another. We also ensure they, themselves, know what it is to create a nutritional meal.
Meal Support Programs
Assisting Families
Our meal support programs assist families, offering help through meal provisions. By ensuring consistent access to nourishing ingredients, we aim to alleviate hunger and promote the well-being of families.
